In a multicenter, retrospective, observational study, we reviewed all patients who experienced cesarean section at term due to non-reassuring fetal status (NRFS) during labor, spanning from 2018 to 2020. To evaluate the primary outcome criteria, the rate of cesarean section births, as observed retrospectively, was put against the rate predicted by the CAESARE tool. Newborn umbilical pH values, following both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, were considered secondary outcome criteria. The CODE BLUE-J study, a multicenter cohort study, involved 518 patients with CDB, of whom 77 underwent EDSL and 441 underwent EBL. By employing propensity score matching, outcomes were compared.
